Review: A Stolen Heart by Amanda Cabot

I have enjoyed the books by Amanda Cabot that I have read in the past.  A Stolen Heart was no different! Lydia Crawford has left her home to travel to Cimarron Creek. She's traveling so that she can be with her finance and they can finally get married. This trip is a little eventful because once most passengers realize she's a "Yankee!" they don't want to have anything to do with her.  When she arrives in town she finds several things she wasn't expecting. Her finance has disappeared AND he's left a pregnant wife behind! Hurt and upset Lydia realizes she doesn't have anything to return too, so she makes Cimarron Creek her new home. She's taken in by a wonderful older lady, Bertha Henderson. Lydia is trying to figure out her new life as well as why her fiance, Edgar, has disappeared. She doesn't understand why he didn't keep his promise to her, but she knows he's not the type of man to leave a pregnant wife behind. This book has all the makings of the type of book I enjoy reading. It's got friendship, romance and mystery.  Check out all of Amanda's books on her website: Amanda Cabot This is an easy read and a great book for one of those lazy afternoons!

** I received this book free for my honest review.
